Belvedere Beach work has started

Site notice explaining work at Belvedere Beach

Work started on the exciting new Belvedere Beach Playground.

The initial works mean that parts of the site will be restricted and visitors should take extra care when using or crossing the park. The park will close completely from 18 April while the impressive new play park starts to take shape.
The new park will be open throughout the year and will offer a range of fully inclusive equipment, including sensory and educational play areas, as well as an interactive water play area.

Cabinet Member for Community Safety, Environment and Leisure, Cllr Peter Craske said: “It’s great to see work starting on this exciting new project for Belvedere. The new park will provide a year round play facility that will cater for all children. We took our time choosing this design and it promises to be something we won’t have seen before in the borough.”

The park should be open this summer.

The new ‘Belvedere Beach’ park has been made possible thanks to funding from Cory Environmental Trust in Britain (CETB).
